Australia’s largest high-profile Sausage King Competition run by the Australian Meat Industry Council (AMIC) has heats from February to July for the Queensland branch, with the state finals being run in conjunction with the RQFWS at the Brisbane Showgrounds.
This competition showcases the humble snag in an entirely new light and enables independent, local butchers to enter their unique sausage recipes in any or all of the six categories; Traditional Australian, Traditional Australian Pork, Poultry, Australian Lamb/Open Class, Continental, and Gourmet/Open Class.
