Royal Queensland Wine Show

Since 1876, thousands of winemakers from across the nation have entered the esteemed Royal Queensland Wine Show (RQWS). Our wine and dairy competitions date back to the very first Royal Queensland Show and celebrate their 140th year in 2017.  The RQWS is one of Australia’s oldest competitions and the first wine show of the Australian wine show circuit. As one of the most prestigious and highly contested wine shows, Australia’s best wine producers can reveal their new season’s vintage.

Whilst the awards are built on longstanding traditions celebrating excellence, they are also reflective of current industry trends and in particular, changes in consumer interest.

In 2017, Chief Judge David Bicknell will once again lead a team of expert wine judges and industry peers from around the nation.

Following the competition and the announcement of the results, the wines are showcased at a series of trade and public events. The popular ‘Grape Grazing By Night - Celebrating Australian Wine’ event gives the public a chance to taste the award-winning wines and provides winemakers public recognition for their achievements.

Don’t miss this opportunity to have your products judged at the highest level, by some of the nation’s top wine judges. The products are judged on their appearance, aroma, body, taste and finish.

Join us in celebrating Australia’s finest produce and secure your chance to win a place in this prestigious, national competition. This is a unique branding opportunity for your business, so make sure you don’t miss out.

Entries will open on Monday 19 December, 2017.
